1. How do I become a bidder?
To become a bidder you must first register and log in. To browse through lots available you must click on the appropriate Category, and then in some cases Sub-Category to view the summary of lots. The lots are summarised by Title, Reference Number, Bid Price and Auction Close Date. Click on the Title of any lot to access the lot description and bidding page.

Once you have found an item that interests you click the 'Place a Bid' button. Next enter your bid price and, when you are sure you are happy with your bid, click the 'Submit Bid' button. You will be asked to confirm your bid before it is entered into the system. Once confirmed, you will see the bid appear on the bid history immediately.
If you are the winning bidder at the end of the auction ANM will send you an email to confirm this. You should reply to this email, and we will then be in touch to arrange payment and uplift of goods.

2. What is proxy bidding?
Proxy bidding lets you automate the bidding process. You set the bidding increments and the maximum bid price. Once the auction starts the system then automatically bids when your last bid is out-bid, increasing the bid according to your chosen increment. The system stops bidding on your behalf when the bidding passes your maximum bid price. The system will keep you informed by email when it has stopped bidding.

3. What do I do if my bid fails to appear?
First check you are logged on and registered. Next check the bidding history - you may have been out-bid before your bid had a chance to appear. Finally give the system a few more seconds to register your bid. If your bid still doesn't appear please contact us at auctionsupport@goanm.co.uk

4. How do I view the videos of stock for sale?
Most of the lots will contain a link to a video clip. Clicking on this should automatically run the video. The videos are in Windows Media Player format. If you experience any difficulty playing the videos, try downloading the files to your pc first. For further assistance on this topic, please see read the help notes located here

5. What are the charges for using the auctions?
A buyers levy of 1% applies on all purchases unless otherwise stated on the description page.. Sellers are charged a minimum entry fee of 30 per lot (or 5 per head for cattle and 50p per head for sheep).

6. How can I become a seller? If you would like to sell goods on this site, please email auctioneer@goanm.co.uk or contact Alan Donald on 01467 623753. We can then arrange for an auctioneer to visit your farm to assess and film your stock so we can provide a full description and video pictures online.

7. How do I update my personal details?
To change your personal details you must first log in with your username and password. Next click on the 'my profile' button then the 'edit' button. You will now be able to edit your profile. You won't, however, be able to change your username.

8. What happens if I forget my ID or password?
If you forget your password but remember you username you can click the 'send me my hint' button. You will then be sent the password hint that was submitted by you as part of the registration procedure.

If you forget your username or still can't remember your password even after receiving your hint, then please contact auctionsupport@goanm.co.uk

9. What happens if goods received don't match the online description?
If you find that this is the case please notify us at auctioneer@goanm.co.uk within one working day following receipt of goods. ANM will hold your payment until we have resolved any dispute.
Please remember that the assessor comments do not form part of the description.
